Happy birthday, Lucy!

I gave my mom the nickname Lucy when I was about 13 and it has stuck. My mom reminds me of Lucille Ball; I think I was in my Nick at Night phase watching I Love Lucy. Today my mom turned 53! In our relationship, there have been many, many good times and several years that I'm glad we've moved past to brighter days. Moms are the picture of unconditional love. I appreciate her honesty, kindness, witty sense of humor, loudest laugh I've ever heard, strong will, hospitality, and generosity.
